Did You Know?

Get Involved in Parish Safety Programs

Parents and guardians play a key role in the success of parish programs for young people. Parents and guardians who are involved in parish programs and events will be in the best position to protect their own children as well as all the children in the parish community. Involvement and communication are important factors in helping to ensure safe environments for all of our children. Contact the parish office for more information on how you can become actively involved in the safe environment training programs in our parish.

For particular help you may call, Kevin Scully or Jeanne Bruno at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington at 1-802-658-6110.

EUCHARIST ADORATION at the MSJ Chapel will stop after May 28th. Starting June 4, there will be Eucharist Adoration at Christ the King Church every Friday for the summer. Time will be announced.

BABY BOOTIES FOR LIFE

To show our respect for the sanctity of human life, our Church is participating in Vermont Right to Life’s “Baby Booties for Life” fundraiser. It’s easy! Just take home a pair of booties today as you leave church and bring them back filled with cash, a check, or lots of change by Father’s Day weekend, June 19th or 20th. Checks payable to Vermont Right to Life Educational Trust Fund are tax deductible. (They can’t afford lost booties, so please don’t forget to bring them back!) Thanks to all visitors and parishioners for your support in past years. For more information, contact the Rectory Office at 775-1994.

Dear Parishioners of St. Peter & St. Dominic:

My sincere thanks for the gathering you had for me on Saturday for my Silver Jubilee as a priest. Thank you for your good wishes, your cards and gifts. Be assured of my continued prayers for all of you.

In Christ & St. Francis

Fr. Ray

THE 2010 BISHOP’S FUND IS COMING SOON.

The early Christians would bring their gifts “and put them at the feet of the apostles, and they were distributed to each according to need” (Acts 4:35). This is exactly what our Bishop does with our gifts to the Bishop’s Fund each year; he understands the needs of our diocese and takes the gifts we offer and distributes them to those in most need.

Please begin to prayerfully consider how you and your family will participate in supporting our Church and the needs of the faithful Vermonters this year. We will begin our parish campaign on June 5 & 6.

Please visit the Bishop’s Fund website at www.vermontcatholic.org/bishopsfund for more information and to watch the short video clips sharing the outreach of many of our diocesan ministries and programs.

PRIEST APPRECIATION DAY

Our annual Priest Appreciation Day will be held on June 13th at 12 noon at the Trak Inn Restaurant on beautiful Lake Bomoseen. Court St. Rose #1100 C.D.A. cordially invites everyone from St. Dominic’s Parish and St. Peter’s Parish to attend a buffet brunch in honor of Fr. Corley, Fr. Thibodeau and Fr. Crawley. The cost of the buffet brunch is $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children up to age 10 and $6.00 for children age 11 and up through high school. There will be sign up sheets at the entrances of both parishes on Saturday and Sunday, May 30th and June 6th. Let us show Fr. Corley, Fr. Thibodeau and Fr. Crawley our appreciation by attending the buffet brunch. Any questions, please call Leona Kish at 459-3607.
