Dear Parishioners:

We would like to wish all those celebrating Mother’s Day a very happy and blessed day. May God continue to bless you in your service to your family, Church and country.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Ted Corley

I am pleased to announce that we have transformed our Sacristy into a chapel for our weekday and Saturday morning Masses.  The chapel will be called Chapel of Our Lady.  I believe that it will be a good addition to our worship space in our Church.  Our weekday Masses will be celebrated in our new chapel. -Fr. Ted

Thursday, May 13, is Ascension Thursday, a Holyday of Obligation. The Mass schedule is:  8:45 AM with the students from MSJ and 6:00 PM at St. Peter Church.

Since the Bishop’s Fund Mass on Wednesday, May 12, at 7:00 PM at Christ the King Church is the Vigil of the Ascension, we will not have a Vigil Mass that Wednesday. Please attend the Bishop’s Fund Mass for Mass for Ascension Thursday.

Next Sunday, May 16, we will have a Rosary Rally after the 11:00 AM Mass at St. Peter. After Mass we will process to our Holy Family Shrine and pray the Rosary.

PRAYER ENTRUSTING OUR CHILDREN TO DIVINE PROVIDENCE

Lord, I leave my worries at Your feet. Take my concerns and fears and dissolve them as only You can. You who hold everything that exists in the palm of Your hand, guard our children from harm. Secure their future in safety. Send at Your command their angels to protect them always. You are a rock for all who call upon Your name. We call now upon that name before which “every knee shall bend in the heavens, on the earth and under the earth,” (Phil 2:11) Jesus Christ-our Savior, our strength, our lasting hope. Amen.

ST. PETER FUEL RAFFLE

The St. Peter Parish Council held its grand prize drawing on Saturday, May 1st. The $200 winners were John & Diane Lazarczyk. The $500 winners were Cathy & Joe Palumbo and Art Thorne. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Fuel Raffle and the 80 plus people who attended the dinner.

A big thank you to Don Romano, Jerry McGinnis and Dick LaVictoire for the pasta dinner. It was fantastic!

The music was by DJ Eric Groce and everyone had a good time dancing. Watch for pictures on the Event Board at Church in the next couple of weeks.

We had many donated prizes from Lorraine Canty, Rutland Fuel, Joe Giancola, Quinn Company, Dr. Frank D’Auria and some anonymous donators. Thank you all for your generous donations.

As soon as we pay all of our invoices for this event, we will put a notice in the bulletin as to how much money we raised for the fuel fund. Without all of the people who bought tickets and others who joined us for the dinner, we would not have been able to donate to the fuel fund for St. Peter Church. Thank you all very much.--St. Peter Event Fund Committee
