BABY BOOTIES FOR LIFE

If you haven’t turned in your baby booties it’s not too late! We need to complete the campaign as soon as possible! Please return the booties next week filled or empty! They will be reused at other churches for their Baby Booties Campaign. Thank you for your support of this worthwhile cause for the sanctity of human life. BISHOP’S FUND UPDATE

St. Peter’s has raised a total of $22,988.00 of their $38,690.00 goal and St. Dominic’s has raised a total of $4,830.00 of their $10,295.00 goal. COMMUNITY LUNCH AT TRINTY CHURCH

 

This month’s luncheon at the Trinity Church, 85 West St., Rutland will be held on Saturday, July 10 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. The luncheon features chicken and pasta salad along with a garden fresh salad as a side, Italian bread and brownie ala mode for dessert.

A WEDDING STORY

Right from the beginning, the priest noticed that the groom was nervous beyond ordinary measure. Therefore, he took special care to act gently and speak soothingly in order to calm the young man. When it came time for the exchange of vows, the priest announced to the gathered guests, “Joe and Mary will now proclaim their marriage promises,” and he gave Joe a knowing glance to alert him to begin the process. But Joe remained silent. The priest leaned over and whispered, “Joe, it’s time to exchange your promises.” But Joe’s eyes held the look of a deer startled by headlights. So the priest leaned closer and hissed at Joe commandingly, “Joe, recite your vows!” And Joe began, “A…E…I…O…”
