BASKETS
Again this year, St. Peter’s
will be putting together Thanksgiving Baskets for needy families. There are
slips of paper at the entrances of the Church with names of food items that are
needed. Please take a slip or slips and bring that food item to Church on or before Sunday, November 23rd.
Thank you.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION AT MSJ will be held each Friday from
Letter from the Fundraising Committee
for the Gordie Anderson Cancer Benefit:
Father Ted Corley,
Thank you so much for the monetary donation you made towards the fundraiser
for Gordie Anderson. The night was remarkable. We sold all 400 printed tickets
and more were sold at the door. You helped us to make the event a success by
your contribution. So far the amount given to Theresa & Gordie is over
$17,000.00 and more has been coming in. The proceeds of the fundraiser has
taken some financial pressure off of the Anderson’s right now so they can
continue to purchase a medicine costing $1,300.00 per month, which is not
covered by their medical insurance. Gordie & Theresa are extremely grateful
to everyone who contributed in any way. Thank you and we wish you and your
parish well.
COATS FOR KIDS drive will be held from now until Tuesday, November 11. Gently used or
new coats (infant – teen) may be donated at Drop Boxes located at Hannaford,
Price Chopper, Grand Union and Rutland Library. Winter boots, snowsuits, hats
and mittens are also greatly needed. For more information, please call
802-775-9711.
PILGRIMAGE TO THE
MSJ CRAFT SHOW will be held on Saturday, November 29 from
MSJ SHOESTRING COMPANY presents the world premier of Counting on Grace a

MSJ POINSETTIA SALE will be held from Nov. 10 – Nov. 21. Delivery date
will be Thursday, Dec. 4. Each plant is a 6.5” pot, foiled and sleeved with
various colors to choose from. The cost will be $12.00 and the proceeds will
benefit the class treasuries and the Development Fund. Contact the Development
Office at 775-0151 or any MSJ student to order your plants.
THANKSGIVING ECUMENICAL SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, November 25th. The Proctor
community, led by clergy and laity from our three churches, will gather to give
thanks for the life we share at
THE COMMUNITY CUPBOARD would like to thank you for your third quarter
contribution of 467 items. Our year to date total is 1,049 items. Also, thank
you for your participation in the recent CVPS Challenge. Our Parish collected a
total of 326 items for that drive. They once again realized their goal of over
20,000 food items to help fill their shelves. They are dependent on charitable
contributors like us. Without continued support from our community, churches,
businesses, schools and organizations, they would not be able to provide much
needed food assistance to over 13,000 people annually.
The St. Peter Parish Council
will be holding a raffle to supplement the St. Peter Fuel Collection. This year
we expect fuel to be twice as expensive as last year. The Fuel Collection does
not raise enough to pay for fuel to heat the church. The Fuel Collection needs
another source of funding. Raffle tickets are $20.00 each. There will be
monthly prize drawings from November through March with a grand prize drawing
in April. Four prizes will be drawn each month:
one $100.00 prize, two $50.00 prizes and one $25.00 prize. The monthly
drawings will be the last weekend of the month. There will be notices in the
bulletin. At the grand prize drawing, we will draw two $500.00 winners and one
$250.00 winner. Winners need not be present. For tickets or information contact
Sue Ahearn at 775-7398, Angie LaVictoire at 775-1256 or Joe Eno at 773-3111
(day) or 773-3665 evenings. Tickets will be sold at the back of the church
after Mass throughout the month of November.
