Our catechumen, Harriet Parot, will participate in the Rite of Election or the Rite of the Enrollment of Names at the cathedral in Burlington, today, March 1.  By signing the Book of Elect, Harriet pledges to receive Baptism at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.  Our parish continues to pray for her as she prepares to join our parish community.

On March 2 a letter will be sent to all our parishioners from St. Peter and St. Dominic with a registration form. Every parishioner, whether you use envelopes or not, must fill out the registration form and return it to St. Peter Church, 134 Convent Ave., Rutland by March 31. The purpose of the registration form is to update our records for the new computer program. If you do not return the registration form, we will assume that you do not want to be a registered parishioner.

WELCOME BACKPACK – DISMAS HOUSE

Next weekend, March 7 & 8, Therese Black and a resident from Dismas House, a program which helps those formerly jailed or imprisoned to make the transition to a new civilian life, will speak at all the Masses. They will ask for our support to fill backpacks for their residents with items like toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant and shampoo. There will be baskets with individual items on slips of paper. Please take a slip and return the item to the church by March 28/29. This will be a good charity for the season of Lent.
