ADULT CONFIRMATION PROGRAM

The Catholic Churches of Rutland County would like to offer an opportunity for their parishioners to receive the sacrament of Confirmation in Spring, 2009. The Confirmation candidate must meet the following requirements:

1. You must be 18 years old.
2. You must have been baptized and received First Communion as a Catholic.
3. If you are married, your marriage must have been recognized and blessed by the Catholic Church.

There will be five classes which will meet at St. Dominic Church Hall in Proctor on the following Tuesdays:  January 13, 20 & 27 and February 3 & 10.  The time of these classes is 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM.  These classes will present an overview of our Catholic faith.  Please contact Fr. We’re looking for an individual who will provide a range of accounting functions for VCCI and our Level III Assisted Living Homes. The role will include but is not limited to accounts receivable and billing; accounts payable and purchasing; general ledger accounting and financial analysis. CDA NEWS

The installation of new officers for Court St. Rose #1100, will be held on Monday, January 12^th at St. Dominic’s Church. Mass will begin at 5:45 PM followed by the installation ceremony and then dinner in the Parish Hall. Committee members are Leona Kish and Bernice Santoro. Officers being installed are to be in the Parish Hall by 5:15 PM. Officers to be installed are:

Leona Minard – Vice Regent

Lynn Ryan – Recording Secretary

Michelle Miles – Treasurer

I am sorry for the fact that Gordon Anderson, Jr. was listed in the last few bulletins as to be prayed for as sick after he had passed away, but unfortunately the company that produces our bulletins gave us a deadline for our bulletins to be produced during the holidays. That deadline was done weeks prior to Mr. Anderson’s death.

To eliminate this from happening again, we have decided to remove the portion of the bulletin where the sick of St. Dominic’s Parish are listed to be prayed for. The information regarding the sick of St. Dominic’s Parish is mentioned at Mass each weekend so names do not need to be printed in the bulletin.  Thank you.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION AT MSJ will be held each Friday from Noon to 2:45 PM at the Immaculate Conception Chapel at MSJ, 127 Convent Ave., Rutland. All are welcome. Come spend 15 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour. Come pray, sit, reflect and listen to Our Lord. You will not be sorry! If you have any questions, please call 775-0151. Please use the main entrance to the Academy. Exposition will be available on those Fridays when school is in session. The dates for January are:  January 16, 23 & 30.
