RUTLAND DISMAS HOUSE BACKPACKS

Last year, during Lent, St. Peter Parish donated approximately 600 items and $270 in gift cards and cash to the residents of Rutland Dismas House. Dismas House is a home where former prisoners reconcile themselves with society and society with them. Your donations made the transition back into society much easier for 50 Dismas residents. Again this year, we are asking for your assistance to help full backpacks for the residents. Beginning March 7, baskets with slips of paper with suggestions will be at the entrances to the church. Please bring items to church by Sunday, March 21. Once again, thank you for helping make the transition back into society easier for many who would go without if it weren’t for the generosity of St. Peter parishioners. God bless you for your kindness.
