BABY
St. Peter and St. Dominic
Churches will be sponsoring a Baby Bottle Drive the weekend of February 13/14
to benefit the Our Lady of Guadalupe Pregnancy Resource Center located in the K
of C Building, 21 Merchants Row, Rutland. This is an opportunity for our parish
families to have an involvement in a project that saves lives of unborn
children and ministers to women who are currently, or have had a crisis
pregnancy. The Center also assists Moms and their children with clothing,
diapers, food, and baby furniture. Please take one bottle per household, fill
it with a check, cash and coins and return it to the bassinettes located at the
exits of the church the weekend of February 27/28. For more information, please
call Barbara Mucha at 779-4089. Thank you.

The St. Peter Parish Council will conduct a raffle again this year to
supplement the St. Peter Fuel Collection. The Fuel Collection does not raise
enough to pay fuel expenses. The Parish needs another source of funding to heat
our church. Raffle tickets are $20.00 each. There will be prize drawings on
February 28 and March 28 with a grand prize drawing on May 1. We will draw one
$200.00 prize and two $50.00 prizes on February 28 and March 28. The grand

SOUPER
BOWL – FEBRUARY 6 & 7
We are on a
mission to fight hunger and poverty.
You can help.
More than 20 years ago on a Super Bowl Sunday, a single youth group was
inspired by a simple prayer. They started the Souper Bowl of Caring, a
youth-led movement that is now an international event. Since 1990, the Souper
Bowl of Caring has raised more than 60 million for individual charities across
the country. It is also turning our nation’s biggest weekend of football into
its largest weekend of giving. Each year, tens of thousands of our nation’s
youth put God’s love into action through the Souper Bowl of Caring.
You can help
them feel the significance of caring for
others by
dropping a dollar in a soup pot on
February 6
& 7 as you leave worship.
Your donation will go directly to the Open Door Mission, one of our
local charities. With your help, more dollars will be raised, more lives will
be changed, and more young people will experience the joy of serving Christ by
serving others.
“Lord, as we
enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl
of soup to eat.”

SHROVE
TUESDAY
On
Tuesday, February 16, Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday, the three
churches in Proctor will offer a free pancake and sausage supper at St.
Dominic’s Parish Hall at 6:00 PM. St. Peter’s parishioners are most welcomed.
We ask all those coming from St. Peter to bring a dessert. We are also in need
of donations of maple syrup.
