Second Collection this weekend for Catholic Home/
Black and Indian

We at Dismas House want to
thank you for once again thinking of Dismas Residents for your Lenten project.
It is such a wonderful feeling to be able to hand a new resident, fresh from
the negative jail environment, a back pack filled with the basic necessities of
life and to take them up to their room where there is a clean, comfortable bed,
soft pillow, towels, etc. and to be able to give them a Walmart card to buy
pants or shoes or other items they need for a job. A special thank you to Joe
& Carol Barbagallo. Thank you for your support to these, the least of our
brethren.

Did You Know?
Five Steps to Safer Environments
The Roman Catholic Diocese of
Burlington mandates that all people who work with children and youth in our
parishes and schools must undergo child abuse prevention training through the
VIRTUS program. The training details five steps to prevent child sexual abuse. Know the warning signs of an inappropriate
relationship with a child:
- Know the warning signs!
- Control access to children by carefully selecting
the adults who work with children and youth.
- Monitor all programs for the safety of children
and youth.
- Be aware of and sensitive to what is going on in
the lives of children.
- Communicate concerns to the appropriate person in
authority.
For particular help you may
call, Kevin Scully or Jeanne Bruno at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington
at 1-802-658-6110.
