Ted to promote the spiritual welfare of all persons within our parish and community. Your service on the Parish Council is a wonderful way to serve the St. Peter parish community. The terms on the council are for three years. If any parishioner is interested in serving on our Parish Council, please contact Fr. Ted at 775-1994 as soon as possible.

RUTLAND CATHOLIC SCHOOLS BARBECUE

The students and faculty members of CKS and MSJ invite all families with grade school or high school age children to a barbecue at Christ the King School on Wednesday, June 4 at 12:00 noon. This is a great opportunity for prospective parents and students for both CKS and MSJ to meet families that have chosen Catholic education, as well as to meet faculty members from both schools. Interested families are requested to RSVP for the BBQ to 773-0500 by Friday, May 23rd.

A little boy who wanted one hundred dollars very much prayed and prayed for two weeks, but nothing happened. Then he decided to write a letter to God requesting the one hundred dollars. When the post office received the letter addressed to “God, USA,” they didn’t know what to do with it, so they sent it to the president at the White House. The president was so impressed he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a five dollar bill. “That should look like a large sum of money to one so young.” The boy was delighted with the five dollars and immediately sat down to write a thank-you note to God, which read, “Dear God, thank you for sending me the money. However, I notice that for some reason you had it sent through Washington D.C., and as usual, the government deducted ninety-five percent.”
