BISHOP’S FUND
The 2009 Bishop’s Fund
Campaign is off to a great start. It is very important that every member of our
parish communities make an effort to participate in the Bishop’s Fund. St.
Peter’s has already raised a total of $20,080 of their $37,925 goal – St.
Dominic’s has raised a total of $4,610 of their $10,295 goal. Thank you for
your past generosity and support.
BABY
BOOTIES FOR LIFE
If you haven’t turned in your baby booties it’s not too late! It is
very important that the booties are returned even though you are not able to
put money in them as they are very expensive to replace. Thank you for your
support of this worthwhile cause for the sanctity of human life. All proceeds
will be donated to Vermont Right to Life.

PRAYER FOR OUR COUNTRY
By Archbishop John Carroll
Almighty and eternal God,
you have revealed your glory to all nations.
God of power and might, wisdom and justice,
through you authority is rightly administered,
laws are enacted, and judgment is decreed.
We likewise commend to your unbounded mercy
all citizens of the
that we may be blessed in the knowledge and sanctified
in the observance of your holy law.
May we be preserved in union and that peace which the
world cannot give;
and, after enjoying the blessings of this life,
be admitted to those which are eternal.
We pray to you, who are Lord and God,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
He
took the child by the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum," which
means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise!" The girl, a child of
twelve, arose immediately and walked around. At that they were utterly
astounded. - Mk 5:41-42
